Intro to our Social & Support Groups
In the last two years, over 2,000 people have attended our social groups. We now provide monthly social groups in Sheffield, Doncaster, York, Hull and Bradford. These groups are open to anyone affected by asbestos related conditions directly or indirectly. We also hold monthly bereavement support groups in Sheffield and Wakefield and online, which include support for grief and anticipatory grief.
These groups provide an opportunity to chat and share experiences with people who understand, in an informal setting. Our staff and other professionals will be in attendance to offer support and advice, and to answer any questions you may have. We also have speakers and presentations on relevant subjects at some of our meetings. A complimentary lunch and hot drinks will be provided at each session. Our venues have accessible parking and public transport links close by.
Our online groups are currently running every fortnight. Full support is available to use Zoom.
