Asbestos hasn’t gone away:
- It’s still present in 85% of schools, 90% of hospitals and many other public buildings.
- More people die from exposure to asbestos than die in road traffic accidents every year.
- Over 2,700 people a year are diagnosed with mesothelioma, a type of cancer that is entirely preventable.
Action Mesothelioma Day is on Friday, July 4th, 2025, and is a national event to raise awareness about asbestos and mesothelioma, support research, and remember those affected by the disease.
Join us to show your support at Sheffield Town Hall. Contact us to book. Tickets are just £20 and lunch will be provided.
